Collect and assess
Cynomi combines guided assessment responses with available Microsoft, cloud, vulnerability, endpoint, policy and documentary evidence.
A representative environment for MSPs or clients seeking an integrated cybersecurity-program platform for assessment, risk, policy, remediation and executive reporting.
This pattern is useful where the organization wants a connected system for assessments, risk, policies, controls, remediation planning and reporting. The MSP continues to execute through its PSA and operational tools; ChannelCISO supplies judgment, governance and accountability.
| Layer | Platform or owner | Primary function |
|---|---|---|
| Technical operations | Client MSP or internal IT | Security operations, administration and remediation. |
| Technical telemetry | Microsoft 365, AWS, vulnerability scanners, EDR and other security platforms | Provides current security and configuration evidence. |
| Security-program system of record | Cynomi | Assessments, risk, compliance, policies, remediation plans, tasks and posture reporting. |
| Operational synchronization | Cynomi API plus PSA or ticketing platform | Moves remediation tasks into operational systems and returns status where supported. |
| AI decision support | Axari.ai | Adds cross-system context, decision history, meeting commitments, dependencies and persistent follow-through. |
| Governance authority | Louis Barkhuizen / ChannelCISO | Challenges automated conclusions, interprets business relevance, prioritizes risk and advises management. |
| Work execution | MSP PSA and technical platforms | Implements approved remediation. |
| Executive oversight | Client leadership | Approves treatment, resources, exceptions and material risk decisions. |
The platform can organize a broad body of assessment and technical information. The practitioner’s role is to validate assumptions, add business context and turn platform output into approved, feasible work.
Cynomi combines guided assessment responses with available Microsoft, cloud, vulnerability, endpoint, policy and documentary evidence.
Findings, risk entries, framework mappings, policies, remediation plans, tasks and executive posture information are organized in one program environment.
ChannelCISO checks whether evidence is current, the risk score reflects business reality, compensating controls exist and the proposed remediation is practical.
Axari connects the structured program data with active projects, meeting commitments, budget constraints, vendor dependencies, prior deferrals and unresolved information requests.
Management receives a decision package. Approved tasks move into the MSP’s PSA or ticketing environment for operational execution.
ChannelCISO verifies ownership, deadlines, blockers, implementation evidence and whether Cynomi reflects the actual result—not merely the ticket status.
Cynomi may provide prioritization, remediation guidance and executive reporting. Those capabilities do not eliminate the need for a practitioner who understands the organization, challenges assumptions and facilitates management decisions.
There may be meaningful functional overlap between Cynomi and Axari in prioritization, task management and AI-assisted workflow.
The combined design should be piloted to confirm that Axari adds cross-system decision memory, meeting intelligence and orchestration rather than duplicating functions already handled adequately by Cynomi.
Let’s discuss whether this architecture adds value in your existing MSP environment.
